When she questions his seriousness, he goes to the ultimate extreme: he offers to buy her a car and register it in her name just to prove he has the “beauty and greatness” to take care of her daughter [02:00].
He even feigns deep emotional trauma, claiming his wife died in 1982 to gain sympathy, leading to a comedic moment where he breaks into song to hide his “tears” [02:20].
The Twist: The “Mother” Reveal
To the shock of the audience, Mr. Macaroni actually follows through and presents a brand-new car to Ebele Okaro [03:42]. However, the celebration is short-lived. When he demands to see his “wife-to-be” (the girl from earlier), Ebele Okaro reveals a stinging truth: the girl is not actually her biological daughter [05:07].
She explains that as a respected woman in the community, many young people call her “Mummy,” and she has no idea which specific “daughter” he is talking about [05:42]. Mr. Macaroni realizes he has been played—he just gifted a car to a woman who has no power (or intention) to give him the girl he wants.
The Final Blow: 15 Wives and Counting
The comedy ends with a behind-the-scenes style wrap-up where Mr. Macaroni’s character shamelessly admits that despite his “dead wife” story, he actually has 15 wives already and is simply looking to add more to the tally [07:51].
