He’s so obsessed with her that common sense completely leaves the building. To “test” her love, David stages a dramatic poisoning prank. What he doesn’t realize is that the real danger isn’t his fake illness, but the very real secret his domestic staff is about to uncover.
And that’s where the madness truly begins.
The Comedy: Brainjotter Doing Brainjotter Things 😂🔥Brainjotter brings his full chaotic energy to this role. His facial expressions alone deserve an award. The now-iconic “Holy Ghost Fire for Fire” scene is peak Nollywood humor. It perfectly captures that familiar Nigerian household vibe where prayer, panic, and pure confusion collide at the same time.
The comedy doesn’t feel forced. It flows naturally, setting you up to laugh hard before the story takes a sharp emotional turn.
The Real Twist: Servants Turn Detectives 🕵️♂️📱What makes Domestic Staff stand out is the power shift. Instead of being background characters, the domestic staff become the ones driving the story. Ibuka and the house girl turn into full-blown investigators.
The use of Tinder as a plot device is smart and very current. It modernizes the classic “double life” storyline and adds real tension. From the moment they stumble on Vanessa’s profile, you know trouble is loading. Every scene after that builds suspense, especially as the truth inches closer to being exposed.

The reveal scene is brilliantly executed. Unlocking the phone with a specific password feels small, but it carries huge weight. When Vanessa’s carefully curated image collapses and her true identity is exposed, the mood shifts instantly.
The moment her price is revealed, the laughter disappears. What follows is one of the most impressive character switches you’ll see. From soft-spoken “perfect girlfriend” to hardened street survivor, the actress delivers a sharp, believable transformation that elevates the entire film.
